Leonn Ward is an Irish director and photographer sought after for her ability to capture a vibrant intimacy that puts individual style and character at the heart of storytelling.
Leonn’s first major job was shooting a worldwide print campaign for Adidas Originals. She has since moved into primarily directing music videos and commercials for the likes of Celeste, Joy Crookes, Vogue, Givenchy, Nike, Stella McCartney, and Prada – bringing a sense of energy and empowerment to all of her projects.
Diversity and representation are at the heart of Leonn’s life and work. She has directed equality campaigns for Google, branded campaigns promoting body confidence for Dior, and her short films have been included in the official ‘Voice of a Woman’ selection at Cannes.
In 2019, Leonn directed ‘You Ain’t The Problem’, the first video to be taken from Michael Kiwanuka’s 2020 Mercury Prize winning album ‘Kiwanuka’. Leonn’s ‘Stop This Flame’ music video, shot in New Orleans for Celeste, was nominated for Best R&B/Soul Video at the 2020 UKMVAs.
