Odeum is photography and filmmaking duo Chrissy Rabe and Todd Barry. The two first met in a little Irish pub in NYC’s East Village in 2002, quickly fell in love and then naturally started working together.
Todd is originally from Australia and grew up only caring about one thing - surfing. While on a surfing trip in Indonesia, he met a photographer and his beautiful wife, and they sparked his interest in photography and film and he’s never looked back. Todd’s photographs have been seen on the covers of several editions of Vogue, GQ, and Bazaar magazines. His photography skills naturally translate to his work as a Director/DP, winning him the Gold ACS award for his cinematography for Harley Davidson.
Chrissy is originally from Texas. She grew up acting, singing, and directing any local play that would take her. Always singing and dancing, she eventually signed with an acting agent who looked at her lanky frame and suggested she also try modeling. She modeled in several countries, eventually making NYC home. Chrissy is a director as well as an accomplished video editor. Her editing work for Louis Vuitton and Lane Bryant has won several Clio awards.
Combining their crafts in film direction, editing and photography, they seamlessly visualize every photography and film project from concept to completion. Odeum’s compositions are natural and uncomplicated, creating an elegant and sophisticated aesthetic. Their photo and video clients include Samsung, Nike, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Harley Davidson, Emirates, Zara, and Prada.
Partners in both work and life they share two kids and have renovated 5 houses. They currently live in their “ almost” finished 1830’s farmhouse just outside of NYC.
